And people complain about Capcom being sellouts. Game's not even out yet and Inafune's scouting for movie and TV deals. And now he's even asking for MORE money with a second Scamstarter. Guy made quadruple what he asked for but it still wasn't enough?

Video games are expensive. If Kickstarter teaches gamers anything, its that.

There's a reason its called 'Kickstarter' and not 'Fund it Completely'.

I just hope the CGI doesn't look like that in the final product. I kind of want Beck to look more plasticky and robot like.

It can only be a good thing. There's no such thing as bad publicity, and increased media tie-ins can only raise Might No.9's profile, making it that much more successful in the long run.

I am fine with it, if Mighty No. 9 fails, Capcom will never give Mega Man a reboot.. If Mighty No. 9 is huge, Capcom will definitely try to sway the consumers with the original.

When you make something expecting a big franchise out of it, there's a good chance it will fail. The game "Cheetahmen" and the movie "After Earth" can vouch for that. I'm disappointed they're not making a "Mega Man" animated series based on the Archie comic.

Capcom could care less about Megaman at this point. They've got slightly altered costume editions of SF4 to publish!

Also I get why Japan never made a Mega Man anime (the similarities to Astro Boy would be hilarious) but still... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8_rMHAqFco

Would have rather that than the two American outings.

What are you saying?
http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?q=rockman

There's like 7 TV series, 1 movie and 3 OVAs.

I meant classic (I am aware of the education OVA's, but those were primarily made for foreign audiences). EXE never counted to me. Razz

Point is, I think this is reaching too much too soon.

EXE is the most popular Rockman series in Japan. It was also very heavily narrative compared to the barebones story of classic and X, so I can see why it got an anime over the other series along with Ryuusei. Much more material to work with.

That's why this trailer seems poor to me. If I'm going to compared it to the Rockman anime, then it doesn't look anywhere close to being as good. It doesn't seem like it'll have the rich, dramatic, and captivating narrative the EXE or Ryuusei series had. This trailer made it look like a Dreamworks movie with the narrator playing up the hero then revealing him to be a klutz complete with sight gags. I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. I wonder if they made it more comedic and goofy because Might No. 9 is aimed at American audiences, who don't like or expect more rich, plot-heavy animation like Japan. I wonder what the actual game will be like.

Been reading the comment section(s) on some articles and it's been disgusting some of the thinks i've read.A lot of the time people be complaining about minor trivial things wich are only a matter of their own opinions. And now again with this... example:

Didn't you learn growing up that:''if you ain't got nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all!!''
Before you start running your mouths,i'd advice you to do some research.

Pay close attention to what he (Inafune-san) actually says about the new funding campaign. And if you don't wanna pledge then don't!!!
