I wonder if Toriyama's seen those DC and Marvel Hostess ads. Laughing

Vegeta doesn't sound all that different. People are too quick to judge, lets watch the whole movie first. I personally liked Sabat's voice as Vegeta when he first started in the Freeza saga.

I'm loving Jason Douglas's Beerus.

This clip has given me a lot of faith about the dubbed version of the movie.

I can't wait! Very Happy

When he was just doing a terrible Brian Drummond impression? Ugh.

Sabat's Vegeta is good now, but it was a long journey getting here. It's too bad the English dub Buu still sounds awful, though. It's a good thing they retained Monica Rial as Bulma from Kai.

It's also pretty BS that Gohan should do worse than Vegeta at this point in the story. The only reason he lost to Super Buu was because Gotenks and Piccolo were absorbed and then so was he. His Kaioshin power up should have him at a huge advantage to Vegeta, even if he hasn't kept up his training.

Also, "Vegeta's even stronger than Goku!" my ass. Roshi doesn't know what he's talking about. Must be senile. If he can't even go SSJ3, he can't be stronger than Goku.

By the way it's been announced by MangaUK that Battle Of Gods is heading to the UK on Blu-Ray and DVD on December 10th. Yes! Smile

Not only that, but it's also gonna get a few theatrical screenings, including an appearance at this year's Scotland Loves Anime. HELL YEAH!! Very Happy

Yep, I'm not sure about the spelling of Beerus, but the performances on display are promising indeed.

You can't argue with what is on display though.
Bulma takes a slap from the God of Destruction pretty well.
SSJ(2?) Gotenks is put out with a few spanks.
Vegeta puts up a good show with just SSJ(2?) and "My Bulma" Rage.
Gohan is downed fairly quickly.
spoiler[SSJ3 Goku gets put to sleep in seconds.]

This is a poor work if you are looking for consistent power balance even just from this clip, perhaps worse than other movies just because it has Toriyama's stamp of approval and spoiler[friendship/fetus] powered transformations.

Awful seems a little harsh. I prefer the Japanese Buu too, but he doesn't sound terrible in English. The voice gets across the naive innocence/childishness of Buu's character fairly well.

Vegeta should know: he can't beat beer. NO ONE can beat beer. Beer always ends up winning, no matter how hard you try. Razz

Another reason to hate Buu. Because he can't share his pudding, the world will be destroyed.

It's Vegeta. That's kind of his 'thing'.

Though I'll admit, there's something a bit off in the 'Why must you always destroy?!' line.

Not sure if it was wise to release one of the best scenes from the movie on youtube, but nevertheless Sabat sells it as well as Horikawa.

This is actually a big chunk of the movie if the theatrical version is only 75 minutes long (that's only five minutes longer than Broly and five SHORTER than Path to Power). I'll still try and see this, but I do wish they were screening the extended version. 75 minutes is pretty short by most film standards. Oh well, hopefully it will be on DVD.

The clip looks alright, but I admit I'm just seeing this so I can finally see DBZ on the big screen. Razz
