Well, that was...quite the fanservice episode. Not that I'm complaining, seeing as I fit squarely into this show's target audience. Even without the fanservice, this episode contained the same fun silliness from those previous, and at the end of the day, that's all I really need from this show.
I'm sure that what's bothering Katsura is the fact that his Peace Soul hasn't awakened while Ryouma and Shinsaku's have. Though the moment the topic came up, I could guess what the other two were going to think his problem was instead.

Background stories about the Shinsengumi members.
That's something I'd like to see.
Otose's former band member is like her twin.
So our guys went with street performing again..
Soji's new song was a dangerous one.
That Il guy was totally using him to hypnotize people.
Rock is cure for everything! Our guys totally hijacked the concert.

Hmm, Okita was a bit scary at times in this episode. And at the end he coughed up blood. His fake disease might not be so fake anymore...
So now all three of them have their Peace Souls. Guess they're truly ready to "fight" (using that word loosely) the bad guys now.

Rock is making its mark-
Even the shogun & higher-ups are worried.
Looks like Ryo & his band are under surveillance.
That's to be expected though.
Kondo got worried about Soji and with good reason too.
The shogun is obviously using him as a tool.
Ryo sure can be hopelessly stubborn..
That huge concert was obviously a trap.
The crowd sure was easily turned.
It was a shame Kondo had to sacrifice himself to fix things.

Pfff, this show is taking cheesiness to an entire new level which doesn't mean that it isn't entertaining in its own way...but poor Kondo-san, i really wanted to feel sad about his death, but the scene of him...uh... ascending to heaven finally made me unable to keep the giggles in...

Hijikata & Okita blamed for Kondo's death.
So basically they're fugitives now.
Those 2 in Ryo's band LOL
Not everyone was for that.
Rock concert in the middle of the day was not a good idea.
Shoin trap was such a convenient thing.
Of course our fools fell for it.
Looks like even Shoin got pacified..
Thankfully rock is cure for everything!
I especially loved the part when their clothes ripped off <3
That was nice fan service ^^
CGI parts kinda ruined the mood..
And the band is formed!

Most recent episode was pretty funny. Even our villain, Ii Naosuke gets a humorous moment as he tries to pick a snack for the shogun. Hard to pick a favorite part, maybe Hijikata's short exchange with Ikumatsu and Ouno? "Are you dead?" "We're not dead..."
I actually did like the tiny bit of the Dark Cherries song we heard up until the inexplicable screech, of course.

Wow! Ryo's band sure is popular now!
Fan are cheering around every corner, but so are the government guys.
They keep preventing their rock concerts.
In the end they were forced to perform under masks LOL
Still, the appearances don't matter, only the music that fans love.
Guess they have more of a future under than masks then without them.
Heaven's song is just not working anymore.
Interesting that even the government is switching to rock.
Our band is in the big leagues now.
Things were not as simple as before.
In the end the masks fell and their hearts were free again!
(Don't you just love then their clothes rips off)
The band has an official name now: The Ultra Souls!

Oh my god, their stupid "disguises"! So we have afro-Cindy, pirate-Katsura, angel-Okita, Assassin's Creed-Hijikata, and...Ryouma. It's so ridiculous, I love it!

Government is moving against the rockers again.
This time their measures have escalated.
Looks like their concerts had consequences for the fans as well.
New Government's idol group Justice looks interesting.
Especially so when they are practically kids.
The Ultra Souls crashed yet another concert.
Battle of the bands was nice ^^
Ryouma had some kind of a breakdown.
Seems things aren't looking well for their band.
