The winning selection this year was pretty decent.
Saga won big.

Nice for the late Manga God to be awarded this. I wish that his protege, Shotaro Ishinomori, would get awards like this that could increase his fame.

That's really great news i still thought he also should have won last year with Barbara because 20th century boys had already won this nomination, well at least he got one more now.

Hmm... I suppose I'm confused what "Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Asia" is suppose to represent. If it's about presentation and such I would understand since PictureBox always made such lovely books.
However, as regards content I see The Mysterious Underground Men more for historical value which I know the Eisner's also like to promote.
But, to me the other nominees this year are more innovative and creative.

At least he wins something at all, posthumous or not.

Is there a reason that all the manga is put it's own category? Seems like segregation to me. I thought we were past this kind of stuff? Shouldn't manga be judged against other comics?

No different from the Academy segregating animation to it's own category too come Oscar time.
