I figure this is connected to why Crunchyroll hadn't announced a date yet, if the same policy as with Monogatari Series Second Season holds it'll be another month for Crunchyroll to get it.

I am thinking the same. I watched the Second Season in Daisuki because I did not want to wait a month for Crunchyroll. But I might wait on CR for Hanamonogatari; I am in no hurry to watch it.

For many people reading this, the premiere date is August 20, not August 21.

It premieres August 20 at 11:00 PM EDT / 8:00 PM PDT per the listing on Daisuki's home page.

Daisuki changed it to the 21st. What a mess for those trying to watch it legally. Laughing The Mushishi OVA's are coming out Sunday, and they aired yesterday.

When I went to the show page a short while ago and saw no videos, I checked the home page and discovered that. Fortunately, I had had made a screen shot of it before the change:

I remember re-checking their site before posting the message here, so I am wondering if they gave ANN the correct date before even updating their site, or it just happened to be a lucky error.
