I cant seem to find this anime in region 2, it was dubbed and distributed by funimation but it only seems to be available for the US.

I did find this however but there is no mention of region at all
http://www.rightstuf.com/rssite/action/store/item/Item?ItemName=fun09201alt

Does anyone know if this is region free/2 or if not anywhere i can find this specific anime in region 2?

I am going to hope you are not talking about a dvd
for the blu-ray it was released in australia by madman
not sure about availability

here is an anime shop in belgium that sells it
but it might be the US version
if you contact them they would probably know if its region free
It is probably region 1 though

did u check amazon UK?

According to the people at the Anime UK forum who test the American releases, the Good Luck Girl BDs are region free. No idea if the same thing goes for the DVDs though.

The one from Belgium is a complete (BG/DVD) collection and is Region B so i would guess the DVD would be Region 2 also, i would have to check though, all other complete collections i have seen the DVD is always region specific

And i checked Amazon before and it says US import Region A/1 so that's no good.

This would seem to be the case everywhere Sad
The BG are always region free but the DVD is Region 1

^ That is indeed usually the case. I don't have that particular release myself so I can't check it, but maybe you could ask someone on the Anime UK forum to test it just to be sure?

And the one that potatochobit linked at Archonia is the American release. It hasn't been released in Europe (yet).

If by Region 2 you mean the UK, then it has never been released here.
All of Europe is Region 2, as is Japan. The Japanese releases do not have English sub or dubs and I doubt any Mainland Europe releases (if they exist) do either.

As pointed out, it has been released by Madman in Australia, but their DVDs are Region 4 (albeit NTSC). Their BDs are Region B so will play on a stock UK player.

The FUNimation store says "Region: A, B, 1" which implies the DVDs are Region 1-only, although this isn't necessarily 100% reliable.

^ It should do. I've heard that other people use VLC media player to watch R1 DVDs on their computer. I've never used that particular method myself, but I just tested one of the Ga-Rei-Zero DVDs and that worked just fine with VLC.

my friend, I don't really see why you want to waste your time watching a crap DVD on a laptop

do you not have access to the funimation channel or something similar in UK? It would be in HD and you could pay the 7$ month fee and watch everything in enligsh dub.

Manga UK just licensed it over the weekend, along with Ben-To:

So yeah. No exact date just yet, but at least it is coming.

FYI, manga's release for both will be BD-only so there will probably never be a Region 2 DVD with English subtitles.
