Some cast looks fit with the character themselves and some don't.

I wonder how they gonna include Gurren Lagann in the stage play. Same way how Tiger & Bunny stage play does?

EEh. I wonder if someday there will be more musicals and stage plays that uses voice actors from the anime in them. So far Sakura Taisen and, in a less way, Hunter x Hunter are the only anime stage perfomances I care about.

Kinon and Kiyal look like their actresses were swapped. Doesn't seem like they'll be concerning themselves with character ages that much if they aren't using child actors for certain characters. Still, some of the likenesses are freakishly close even without makeup. That's a huge cast.

Does this type of thing ever get filmed and subtitled? I'd like to see it, obviously I'm not flying to Japan to do so.

That's bizarre. I don't get how you can make action anime with unique looking characters into a stage show. They really must be trying hard keep stage show/broadway out there going in Japan.

I don't think most of the character resemble the featured characters in the anime. I guess it all about the acting and script, i guess.

I find this interesting that they are doing this. Seems like there are quite a bit of stage plays happening. If we're not making movies from books and now tapping into manga a bit, then Japan is tapping into making stage plays out of anime features. Surprising that Eva hasn't been done yet.
