My guess is there will be an announcement Otakon, but don't quote me on that. It would makes sense seeing as Aniplex doesn't really have any other "killer aps" to announce any time soon.

Dammit, I got all excited for Gurren Lagann, almost thinking it was affordable. Then I saw the ep count per disc... not cool, man, not cool.

When considering the Gurren Lagann price tag you might want to take into account that they did a complete overhaul of the animation. The HD recomposite looks FAR better than the old source that Bandai and Aniplex used for their DVDs.

Not really if you consider it is DVD only. And by the time the set is released, it would have been almost a year since season 2 began airing.

Even Sentai has done DVD releases this quick (Tari Tari, Natsuyuki Rendezvous).
