This is one of those things where I just go "but why?". If it was simply a fan rendering I would get it, but combining these two franchises that has absolutely nothing to do with one another, and put so much work into it at that. I just don't get it.

This is why it works. Juxtaposition as art.

I really want to see this whole project. It looks fascinating.

I never knew about this, this is hilarious. I adore the Akira manga & The Simpsons so I'll be reading this soon.

FYI, the Japanese guy in between Homer & Lenny happens to be named Akira.

It's like a joke someone started taking seriously.

I've seen bits and pieces of it but never the entire thing since I haven't read the whole akira manga yet. I do like juxtaposition though and it's kind of admirable to see someone take what seems like such a dumb idea to this extent.

I'm cool with it, because it's a fan thing, and not a corporate whitewash, unlike a certain nameless adaptation stuck in development hell.

I've been hearing about this show for a while now. Looks really good, and glad that's it's getting enough exposure to go to Japan.

I'm going to Japan on March 31st of this year.
It's a real shame that I'm gonna miss it.
