Final Fantasy X is my favorite PS2 RPG.

It's a good thing i didn't buy the PS3 HD remaster version. Smile

I would like to see some comparison movies before buying it though

PS3 version vs PS4 version.

Maybe on the PS4, I can finally actually win a Blitzball game, ya?

(Yes, I bought the PS3 version, but I won't upgrade to a PS4 console until I know Kingdom Hearts and Project Diva are safely available.)

I bought the PS3 HD Remaster less than a year ago. What can possibly be that much better for the PS4?

I would love to see a comparison as well because how much better could the transfer be?

It will likely look exactly the same as the PS3 version, the PS3 is already running the game @ 1080 as far as I'm aware. So unless they did a re-re-master of the graphics (which doesn't make sense) it's likely just a port.

Oh wow, such an awesome pre-order bonus...! /sarcasm

I understand the port but the over-promotion of it is kinda silly at this point.

Just keep giving us what we DON'T want Squeenix and people will just give up on you. Cause the next game I buy from you will be the game I waited SO VERY LONG for, FF15...and until then, find me in those Chocobo races in FF14.

Well, there's a few places the game would get an improvement on the PS4 vs the PS3.

The most obvious improvement would be a better frame rate (unless the PS4 version runs on an emulated PS3 within the PS4, which I doubt).

A second improvement would come from the larger RAM the PS4 has, this translates into larger texture sizes, which means they can use the RAW textures instead of the compressed ones used on the PS3 (or maybe less compressed ones, but they would still have a larger pixel size).

Another improvement would potentially come from the number of shadders the PS4 is able to move, as well as their complexity, this means that the complex shadders they had to simplify for the PS3 version could be potentially implemented in this PS4 version.

Now, it all depends on how this remake was made, or remaster, the PS3 one, that is. Usually, the games are made with much better textures, shadders, etc. than what they are shipped with, since they're developed on PC, then adapted to a specific platform.

Well, in the end, we can only wait.

True.

Since they might just ported it over to the PS4 without doing anything or it.

Some called the PS4-- the Portstation 4 Laughing or Indiestation 4

The PS3 version of this game is around $15-$20 (new). I'm not paying their high price for the PS4 version if it's the same thing like the PS3 with some minor improvements.

It's been 13+ year since i played this game, but i still remember the story of this game even to this day. It's because i spent most of my free time playing this game back in the day. I think around 4-5 times..

FFX is probably the only game on the PS3/PS4 that still has random battles.

as for FFX-2, only played it once. It's ok-- not that great.

I already bough the PS3 version so I'm good, though I do admit that desktop calendar isn't bad.

You have to press square to shoot or dribble (I only learned that on a 2nd playthrough).

Doesn't apply to Blitzball in FFX2 of course.

I wish they had all the extra stuff separate on their online store. I already own the PS Vita and PS3 versions of the game and I don't have a PS4. But I guess I should not complain as much since more people will get to play this wonderful game Very Happy. Plus the PS3 already runs the game at 1080p native. I wonder how much of a difference there will be in the textures.
