Since like... forever.
Seriously, Gintoki holds leadership positions in popularity polls among the female audience for several years, despite the fact that he was just far from ideal. And it's not talking about Hijikata and Okita, which also appear regularly in the best places for such polls.

I picked My Love Story!!, but then saw Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches at the bottom of the list, and was reminded that it's also starting in April, so I went with that. How did it *not* make the charapedia lists? It's going to be so much fun!

My most awaited spring anime? Probably Arslan. I have a problem with designs and studio is suspicious, but it's still Arslan.

Awww yeah! Glad to see Gintama fans just as pumped as I am. Very Happy
Don't know why anyone is surprised by female voters choice. It seems like any show that has toilet humor, hot older looking bishonen, and action scenes will be popular with fangirls in Japan (and me). Not too mention the dramatic arcs really tug at your heart strings while Gintoki and Hijikata are an uber popular OTP (I prefer Gin X Tsukuyo).

My Teen Romance SNAFU, Sound!, Arslan, My Love Story, Digimon tri and Fate/Stay Night are my other picks.

Guess I'll never understand the appeal of Gintama. I tried, I really did.

Sound! Euphonium is the only title of interest here, for me.

Yes gintama is popular with girls because of hot guys. But the most important thing is that gintama has

THE. BEST. FEMALE .CAST. EVER.

It's hard to find anime with strong variety of female characters that all have distinct personalities, strength and weaknesses. At least that's what attracts me to the show.
