I'm very excited to see this movie, probably more than when The Wind Rises came out. I'm unfamiliar with the entire dub cast though...

Wow, I didn't expect this to get high-profile voice actors. The movie has majorly flown under the radar and I'm kind of assuming it will join Only Yesterday in the group of Ghibli movies most Ghibli fans haven't seen.

Really hope it gets a UK release so the arthouse cinemas in Ireland will pick it up. I missed both The Wind Rises and Princess Kaguya on the big screen.

This is great news.I was worrying that the film will only release on BD/DVD and be obscure forever.Glad that they are going to show it in theaters.Hopefully it'll do good,I will definitely watch it.

I was expecting the main character to be voiced by someone English, like they did with Howl's Moving Castle.

Marnie (subtitled) was just shown in theaters during the NY International Children Film Festival going on right now.

Should've kept the name, like her previous marriage, in the credits at least. That name already had brand recognition (Mandy in Billy & Mandy, Azula in Avatar Last Airbender).

I don't know.

Most Studio Ghibli's movies i saw were Hayao's.

Is it a good movie ? worth the premium ticket? $9 per ticket around here

Or should i just wait for it to be on blu-ray?

It's a non-Miyazaki movie, that's why I'm watching it.

the last movie i saw that was not Hayao's was the Poppy Hill movie.

It's a movie by his son ??

It's a mediocre movie, maybe worth the rental but not a purchase.

Thanks for the info PurpleWarrior13. I had no idea. I agree she should have kept her old last name. It'll probably take me awhile to recognize her from a cast list now lol. Either way, good for her and her marriage.

The SaveOurSailors.org domain still exists? I thought you'd linked to a Web Archive page at first.

Ah there's more to it than I'd care to admit. Laughing

True story: when I was a young man and was filling resumés with made-up but plausible nonsense to make myself sound more impressive, I put something along the lines of "volunteer with Save Our Sailors", which sounds like a very noble cause if you didn't already know that it was actually just about getting a few more seasons of Sailor Moon shown on North American television.

Never got a job with that resumé, although the "Save Our Sailors" line was only one of many lies and exaggerations.

With that name, she can get a job as a superhero.
