FLCL is in my Top 10 List for Best Anime, and Ueda is my favorite mangaka style-wise.

My hype meter is at swoll levels.

Oh my gosh, two of my favorite artists: Hajime Ueda and Take (neither of whom have published enough in book form, sigh). I'm looking forward to this, certainly.

Studio Khara's project has produced some real treasures.

Good thing about English: ya can turn a noun into a verb. Let's see someone torpedo that idea!

I hope we get more Animator Expo after this "season" is over. Such originality in anime is refreshing in this day and age. I'm glad Anno decided to conceive it. And inadvertently, I should be thanking Evangelion too. Considering the recent blog post Anno made on his website, his excessive focus on the franchise with 3.0 was what pushed him to work on something different entirely. I hate to say something so cold, but isn't it somewhat amusing how all of Anno's most interesting works seem to be born out of his own depression? I mean, we also have that Godzilla film to look forward to (I wouldn't be interested in it without his involvement, honestly).
