Fascinating interview. How did Andrew Osmond arrange the interview?

I'm still waiting on more news on the new Macross series that's in the works! There is another Tenjin interview where he says that it's allegedly coming out at the beginning of next year.

In answer to nobahn's question, Viewster arranged press interviews (through an interpreter) during MCM London Comic Con.

Well that's interesting. Considering that TV shows and Manga are of the same medium it's definitely peculiar that reading manga was ok in Japan but watching anime is not. I can see why though. With manga you can read it anywhere, but anime requires you to be at home.

Cool interview. The Macross Valkyrie is probably my favorite mecha design of all time. I hear a lot of mecha designers get most of work in the game industry now, since there's more of a demand for mecha in gaming than in anime, in recent years.

I always thought manga was more accepted than anime just because manga is historically older and has more variety. I found out about Weekly Manga Goraku awhile back, which I guess is Shonen Jump for middle-aged business men, lol.
