That's actually some pretty cool press. Although it's a Japanese Rolling Stone, it's pretty cool. Subtitled or not, can't wait to see it in Japan.

Between KoRn's Devolution theory, Linkin Park's U2-like trend and now this, saving the world is... "Trendy?" Who'd of thunk it?

I still have never heard if all the Seiyu are returning. The ones who should no doubt be returning are:

Megumi Hayashibara
Misato's VA
Shinji's VA
Asuka's VA
Gendo's VA

I'm sure the person who plays Fuyutsuki will be back. He's in everything Anno's involved in. (Has anyone else noticed that?)

Anyway, for Eva to have an ecological bent wouldn't be all that odd. Apocalyptic anime like Nausicaa have ecologically related stories, after all, and now that global warming is becoming a reality, the topic is timely.

Some good press indeed.

But Eva the green movie??? Sounds kinda lame. "We are going to destroy the angels, all without using fossil fuels, YEA!" Rolling Eyes Hopefully they are doing this just to be trendy and get free press.

I guess that means Anno's moved on from being a hack to a hippie.

With Anno and Tsurumaki at the helm, there's no way it would be that blatant. I'm not saying it would be a greenpeace brochure, I'm merely saying that it may lean towards criticism of humans' self-destructive tendencies, through destruction of the environment. "Man is the enemy of man" is one of the primary themes of the original Eva, after all.

"Does Evangelion Save Us?"

The answer is no but I hope it at least will entertain us. And you'd think that at least Japanese 'Rolling Stone' magazine would be devoid of Engrish.

Still, boys and girls better import this cover now while it's still cheap.

Hey Gatsu, I'm not entirely clear on what your opinions of Evangelion or Anno Hideaki are, can you go ahead and tell me?

Indeed, that's quite a nice cover.

Of course, I doubt that the new Eva film is about ecology, it's probably just a promotional stunt. But, it's still good press regardless.

Jedi: It's probably something related to the film stock or inks and paints used in the production.

Its great to see Eva on the cover of the Japanese Rolling Stone magazine, even better they but Rei on the cover! Very Happy

As for this Eco thing, as long as they don’t beat the audience over the head with their message I think it should work out just fine.

A publicity stunt. That's all there is.

There are those of us here that are trying to forget Evangelion and move on with our lives. What's up with "Mr. Hypocrite" and this use of a decade-old anime to "fight stagnation?" Evil or Very Mad
