I'm in the skeptical camp. Yes, I know there are those out there that want to see it (thinking of all the little fangirls who try to get guys to kiss/pose at cons), but it's not really what I want. In manga/anime they're beautiful-making it flesh just seems wrong. Standards of beauty vary. You may think the guys they cast are hot, but they may not work for me.
