DARUMA (#7785)
Daruma Serveis Lingüístics (#6550)

Both companies should be merged and renamed as Daruma (instead of DARUMA).

Japanese Wikipedia redirects a link from スワラ・プロ to スワラプロダクション (Suwara Production).

Add now:Swara Production
Swara Pro. and
Swara Sound Systems

ThreeS Studio
Three S Studio
(This looks to be essentially the same studio, but this is the name the studio uses when recording porn)

http://www.swara-pro.com/

The company web site uses "Swara-Pro" in the url (obv.) スワラ・プロ and スリ-ーエススタジオin the image banner, スワラプロ and スリーエススタジオ in the recent work section.

They call themselves スワラ・プロ and スワラプロin the profile section (established May 1978), and also explain that the name is a translation of an Indonesian word, so who knows how accurate the sounds are after getting to us third hand. They call Three S Studio スリーエススタジオ (established December 1988) in the profile section as well. As of 1998, both studios have the same physical location, fyi.

So yeah, Swara Pro or Swara Sound Systems, take your pick.

Wanted to point out that "Swara Pro." has a a period at the end as part of its name. Maybe we'd want dormcat to remove it if we go with that one?

The logo just says Daruma, however the full name is Daruma Serveis Lingüístics as seen on their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/daruma.sl/

and at the bottom of the company website "DARUMA S.L." I've merged DARUMA into Daruma Serveis Lingüístics.

The full name changes upon the language selected on the website:

http://www.daruma.es/
- Servicios lingüísticos y traducción (Spanish)
- Serveis lingüístics i traducció (Catalan)
- Language services and translation (English)
- ? (Japanese)

S.L. is the Spanish equivalent for Ltd. I think it's better to keep the name just as Daruma since it's mostly referred by its short name in several websites.

They both look to have done porn and non-porn. It seems the difference is more in their credited task. "Swara Pro" tends to be mostly on sound effects, while "Three S Studio" tends to be credited as a recording studio. I tried to run through some English credits where there name might appear to get a sense of how their name is styled officially, but what I got was rather inconsistent:

[C] - Control: S.S.S Studio
Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero: Three S Studio
Freezing Vibration: SSS Studio
Highschool of the Dead: SSS Studio
D-Frag: Three S Studio
Karneval: SSS Studio
Wanna be the Strongest in the World!: Three S Studio
Maria Watches Over US: SSS Studio

There are many examples of the less intuitive "SSS Studio" romanization, so this is likely how the company prefers their name to be romanized (it's not something I'd expect a US company to guess without it being dictated). There is an entry for SSS-Studio that is undoubtedly them and probably also drawn from English credits where that spelling was dictated (though none of the examples above had a hyphen).

SSS of course probably stands for "Swara Sound Systems". Suwara Sound Systems Studio is one remaining duplicate of the "SSS Studio" bunch. Not sure what to do with plain Swara Sound Systems as that may be intended as an umbrella of both "Swara Pro" and "SSS Studio". The Beyblade credit is in the standard position of "Swara Pro".

The "Splendid" duplicates I pointed out above still need to be done. Just a friendly reminder.

company#3869
Tele Synchro Berlin
company#2840

Oxygen Sound Studios

Oxygen Sound Studio (duplicate)
company#13806

Film-& Fernseh-Synchron GmbH (correct one)

company#4435

Berliner Synchron AG (I would prefer this one)

Same company and both namings are correct. Wenzel Lüdecke is the founder's name and sometimes mentioned, sometimes not. Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berliner_Synchron

xenron
Shinryū
Shinryuu
Shenlong
Shenron

Going to do a merger here pretty soon, but since a massive number of credits are under Shinryū, which I have good reason to believe is NOT the official name, I need to explain this one thoroughly and ask if there's any more information I'm missing (one thing I can't find, despite how prolific they are, is an official website. I've found Japanese companies of the same kanji name but they're clearly not an animation studio). They are most often credited with the kanji 神龍 which is "Shinryū" with an on-reading of the kanji, or is "Shenlong" with a Chinese reading. The rare katakana form シェンロン that is sometimes credited hints at something pronounced like the latter.

There are, however, a number of official English credits (though not all, some do actually use the alternatives like Shinryu or Shenlong) that use the non-standard romanization "Xenron". Logically there is no reason to believe they came to that spelling just by guessing, and that it must be an officially informed one. A few examples on releases from US companies that translate 神龍 as "Xenron": Psycho-Pass, Psycho-Pass 2 (shown in both simulcast subtitles and later home video English credits), Hanayamata, Haganai NEXT, Date a Live, Place to Place, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan. It also appears romanized on extremely rare occasions even in Japanese kanji credits, one example being here in Infinite Statos 2. There are also some credits (Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, Noblesse: Awakening) that are only English to begin with that use the spelling. Last but not least is the Japanese Animator Expo series which helpfully came with a full set of Japanese and English credits as they originally streamed.

Gridman JA: 神龍 EN: Xenron
Bureau of Proto Society JA: シェンロン EN: Xenron

One more issue, but one of less importance and harder to confirm their preference (particularly without an official website to offer a hint) is how it's capitalized. The current entry is all lowercase as it appears in the Mass Effect: Paragon Lost credits (the likely originator of the entry). Most of the examples I found above capitalized the "X", though there are a few more among the above-mentioned that do use all-lowercase: the Hanayamata US credits and Infinite Stratos 2 original Japanese credits.

Japanese name : エムアイ
MI (#945)
EMUAI (#2678)

For me, the good transcription is "MI", like "Anime R" (アニメ・アール) or
Q-Tec (キュー・テック) for example.
