I would really like to subscribe, but you require us to make PayPal accounts to make these subscription payments. I do not trust PayPal with my personal information and banking information. Is there any plan or thought to providing other credit card payment options that don't force us to make a separate account in order to make a subscription payment.

Once upon a time I was tasked with creating the subscription system. So I used Paypal's "subscription" API for billing. But since I personally dislike services that auto-renew payments on unsuspecting users, I implemented it as a one-time fee. In reality Paypal's subscription API is meant for interval billing, and that's why they require a Paypal account. I should have used the regular one-time purchase API, which allows to input credit card details without having a Paypal account. Hindsight is 20/20.
TL;DR When we have the development time/resources available (next year?) we'll fix this. |
