I just realized today after watching escaflowne the movie from the new collectors set. That it shares a lot of similarities to Vanguard Bandits.
2 main protagonist whose family was killed, but they come from a royal blood line. They are destined to pilot a "OH powerful organic machine," that will save them and everyone from this ongoing war. Ontop of that both antagonist names are similar (Faulkner, Folken). Said antagonist have a machine opposite to the heroes, but needs massive amount of blood. Put all of this in a european style setting. Escaflowne did become a franchise 1st, so I wonder was vanguard bandits inspired by esca? |
