What happened, Dad? They didn't really run her over her, did they?

Of course they didn't, honey. Just then, Sir Lancelot rode up on a white horse and saved Fuuka. They got married and lived in a spaceship. The end.

Wow she actually dies? Then that was the dumbest and most random death ever! , Thank god they went original with the anime.

Original twist was comedy gold, anime route is just bland. Neither of them are good, but I waited for Truck-kun, so I could eat some popcorn, reading salty reactions, so now I feel robbed.

Probably a second season as well. Most people were only watching for the inevitable train (truck) wreck. Now it's just another generic harem.

Yeah sometimes different than usual isn't better. Some things aren't done due to sticking too much to the formula, but sometimes it's because it would be stupid to do so, like what happened in the original story. I did have a good laugh when I realized what had originally happened after seeing the scene in the anime.

I am so glad that the anime went in another direction. The manga decision to kill the title character is really dumb any way you slice it. I wish more anime productions made changes when the source material is shaky.

Fuuka might not be the most original or interesting anime, but I liked it since the start.

Well, it's going to be interesting to see how the Blu-Rays sell.

I like that they did it. It was an awesome slap to the face for all the people spoiling what was going to happen based on the manga (not this site obviously)

Just when you thought Fuuka was going to die in the anime, everything got subverted.

Worst mistake this truckwreck of an anime ever made. Without the hilarious gif it would've made and the 24 times a week memes, this piece of crap has no meaning.

I'm okay with anime doing their own what-ifs and I'm happy the director is acknowledging his thought process.

But I feel like a serious moment for character growth was lost, even if it felt needlessly out of nowhere in the manga, but I agree with the director in that it's interesting to explore it from another point of view.

Especially since this series is probably ending soon, there's no point in having her die without like 6-12+ more episodes of development from it.

I just wish they had executed it better. I felt like how they did it was kind of dull, and didn't feel important at all. Especially after just finishing Orange, this just felt like a cheaper version of that.
