I'm pretty nervous about this adaptaiton in truth. So much of that manga's actual charm lies in the somewhat disturbing little details that get subtly throughout the manga. The worldbuilding is a lot more interesting than the characters; if they try to turn this into a cute SoL with monstergirls without the setting exposition it'll wind up throwing out most of the manga's appeal.

The extensive worldbuilding, which really defines the manga, is likely to not fit into a 12 episode series. This may be one anime that you need to just sit back and enjoy rather than to try compare it to it's source material.

I'm hoping they at least manage to throw some of the telling images in the background, such as the various signs that appear in the manga or sketchy government officials that walk around.

One of those weird titles. Like how does a centaur use the restroom. Does it just go anywhere like a horse? Or do they have a special toilet?

I'm hoping that references to thought crimes and the blatant propaganda stick around. Totalitarian magical girl fighting against the evils of democracy was hilarious. |

I think as someone pointed out Himeno's proportions have been tamed down. For those of you worrying about focus detracted from world building to present a more cute and ecchi monster girl themed appeal this way be a sign you don't have to worry as much as you think. Fingers crossed, here's hoping!

I can't imagine how hard it would be for centaurs to dress up...
Anyhow, I think the anime show will turn out alright, even if certain parts of the manga end up being omitted... |
