| Naruto continues its dominance. I'm glad they decided to release Naruto at the rate they are in an effort to catch up with the Japanese releases. Unfortunately the beginning of part 2 (Shippuden or whatever you want to call it) is lackluster at best. I don't think it is until Sasuke fights Deidara that it begins to pick up again. That is mainly because they finally remember Naruto has a large and memorable supporting cast of characters, and they begin to use them as they once did in part 1. |

What about Shikamaru and co. fighting Hidan and Kakkuuzu?
I don't think I'd necessaraly say that though. The Gara rescue arc I'll admit isn't quite at the level of part one, yeah, but I'd say it's right after that it starts picking back up again. Of course it doesn't start really exploding in goodness until Sasuke kills Orochimaru though.
I can't really imagine the series not paying enough attention to the other characters though, save maybe Hinata, Kiba, and Shino, until the point you mentioned anyways. |
