What's the deal with those giant ribbons?
That makes the whole outfit ridiculous. The Chibi Chibi Moon sailor fuku look too big for these girls. |

That's from Naoko's design. The only differences, actually, between the manga design and this are that they took off the feathers from the shoes (they'd be too impractical), added the second layer of skirt (I like that change), and changed the cape from a solid material to a chiffon (I like this change, too). Everything else is true to Naoko's design.

Giant ribbons? It's their Super Senshi outfits. They all get them, not just Sailor Moon. Go look at the cover of the manga re-releases. Considering this contains Sailor Cosmos, yeah, they would have their Super Senshi outfits. And the costumes are like that for quick change and function. You have to think, this is a stage show not a television show. |

The bows are supposed to be large in scale by original design. I again direct you to the art of the manga... The bows also don't hang so its probably all sewn stiff for functionality and to retain a look over the extending showings and the entire play. Again, this is a stage play not a television show. These outfits have to both fit the part and be functional. I mean, I give props to the guy who did the part of Grell in the Black Butler Musicals who ran around in high heels but you have to think about how much motion they're doing in less than 3 hours in those costumes. |

I believe this is the first time we've ever seen Sailor Cosmos outside of the manga, which is really, really exciting. Makes me even more eager for Crystal to get to adapting the Stars arc.
Perfect casting choice too. I'm glad the original Moon of these musicals gets to come back thanks to this. (adds fuel to the Cosmos is future Usagi theory as well!) |

This is so exciting for me! I just couldn't stand Amour Eternal. It had so much going for it and a few great moments, but the writing. . . I couldn't stand that. Especially after how creative the first three musicals were.
It's so promising to have Sailor Cosmos. I hope they'll do the main storyline justice. Kind of sad that ChibiUsa is likely going to be cut so much given how Amour Eternal went, but it makes sense. |
