I've never seen Tree of Palme, but you're probably right about that spoiler[(The closest Mokku gets is episode 5 where a cat tries to trick him into stealing the heart from one of his classmates, but it's softened by Mokku not fully understanding what he's being asked to do....and starting off not actually knowing what a hear is or looks like....And the incident allowing the classmate and his parents to clear the air between each other....the 70s were an interesting time for anime)]

Surprised Heidi was not mentioned here considering Hayao Miyazaki also worked on it, and considering the popularity of the book throughout the world.

Vanfanel, I have to agree. I've actually never liked who Jo ends up with; it felt too much like resolving her daddy issues to me. The critique of her writing is interesting, despite being annoying, because Alcott also wrote Gothic fiction. Given the autobiographical nature of Little Women, the comments could be things she heard herself, or at least changes made in film to reflect Alcott's life more closely. (Actually, Little Women is my least favorite of her books - I'll take An Old-Fashioned girl or Eight Cousins any day.)

TheRahi00, I had planned to include Heidi, but I ran out of space and time. Crying or Very sad
