Well deserved. Can't wait to officially see it here on North American shores.
So can anyone pinpoint an exact date for it's DVD release? End of the year perhaps? |

Yes this is very good news. Been busy with studies lately, but trying to get back to anime by watching a movie each day (not that easy). 5 Centimeters was the one I was anticipating the most and, incredibly enough, my expectations were met. It's darn close to being my favorite anime ever. IMO Shinkai's movie deserve to win every single award in every single class including Academy Awards for best actor/actress. |

| I have been waiting to see this one myself. I'm a huge fan of his past 2 works. I read that the DVD was supposed to be in December but seeing how there is no official release date yet... I kinda doubt that will happen. Hopefully, i'm wrong! |

I, and some others from this community, were fortunate enough to see 5 Centimeters here in Seattle at a special screening back in October.
Congrats to Shinkai on this achievement! It was well worth it.
