NEWS: Dragonball Movie to Film This Year for 2008 Release

Well this is interesting. From what I've seen of Marsters, I think he will turn out a good Piccolo/Pilaf. Can't wait to see who else gets cast.

I can see James Marsters, but I don't know about Chatwin. I have a big Question

for that one.

Well, I ain't a fan of live-action movies and series based on animes but it's worth watching if you're damn curious about what they and the animes have in common

Stephen Chow's involvement has upgraded my feelings about the film from a "failure" to a "might actually be cool".

BTW, Encyclopedia Person, don't forget to link this article to his name.

Stephen Chow's in fact a fan of Dragon Ball so he may make sure that the live-action adaptation's as good as the anime itself.

When I look at both of them they don't scream DBZ.
I like James Masters- but I really can't see him as Piccolo. At all. Plus i'll miss Sabat's voice. Sad

I see Chatwin as an teen Gohan before I see him as Goku.

And...this is just my lack of DB Knowledge- why is there a pic of the older Goku...didn't he not grow up until DBZ? How can Chatwin play him if he was a kid?
It almost scares me into thinking its going to be some Real World normal Goku with wild bedhead. Who goes to work and flies to the island on the weekends. Confused

I haven't seen DB in a long time but those are just some questions...

Well if Piccolo is the Villian it'll be a adaption of the King Piccolo Arc, so Goku is a boy at the time but...... I dunno, they'd jus change him into his Young Adult state, plus there were always hostilities between Goku and Piccolo even later into the Z saga.

So lemme speculate. Chichi=that brunette stripper from High School Musical; Gohan=Daniel Radcliffe; Vegeta=Triple H; Nappa=The Rock; Kame-sennin=Gordon Liu; Bulma=Ellen Page.

The only name I recognized in that entire post was Stephen Chow!

Zac: I'd be able to pull off Gohan, but everyone else would be a challenge. Oh, and when are you gonna apologize to that Canuck ANN forum-user who got the inside story first? You claimed it was bull, but he called your bluff.

Oh, I just thought about it, and Ron Jeremy would be perfect as Mr. Satan. Laughing

I think the whole Goku thing threw me off...

Next to that, the movie is premiering on my birthday.

That's one hell of a movie present. I have nothing else to do. xD

But James Marsters...

xD I'm slightly happy because I'm a fan of his anyway.
