I'm impressed they retained the "Doki Doki" part of the name. The cast sounds great too, but I think I'll pass. I'm more interested in a potential third Glitter Force dub, now that Toei has the rights again.

Do we have any confirmation on an episode count yet? According to this, it sounds like they're cutting 19 episodes (only 30 dubbed out of 49): https://www.linkedin.com/in/noam-kaniel-95619232

Which I'd like to point is stupid as the Futari Wa dub, known as simply Pretty Cure, not only predates Glitter Force but is miles better in quality.

Such a shame that dub wasn't a bigger success. It struck a much better balance of localizing while remaining true to the original series. Plus, there's never enough Canadian dubs.

And it's been a year since since it came out and there's still zero merchandise or a DVD release and they've done little promoting for this even at anime cons.

The merchandising is a bit of a disappointment, but the core demo for this isn't interested in DVDs and doesn't go to cons (unless you count the occasional preschoolers who get brought by their parents).

Exactly. Even if Toei were to have presented Glitter Force Doki Doki at Anime Expo earlier this month, most anime fans would've not cared since it's aimed at kids. And I doubt that Toei would've wanted to deal with anime fans asking them, "Why are the names changed?", and/or, "Could you get Netflix to stream the uncut Japanese version with subs"?
