4.7 for OP special..?
That's one drastic fall from grace. People are seriously tired of its slow pace.

PreCure reached the 5th slot. It's unusual, but refreshing at the same time. Smile

This is what happens when you make a episode of flashback and show this as a special episode even though episode 808 was fantastic but 807 killed his hype. let's hope toei takes a lesson from this rating and also i have heard that while watching live on Tv there were at least 6 breaks in these episodes normally there is only one break per episode, this must be also one of the reasons why the special received this poor ratings.

The breaks are to maximize advertising revenue which pays for the show.

I don't really see that ever happening. The kids merch shows rarely seem to draw a large audience when they're simulcasted and in Duel Masters' case, you've got a 15 year old continuity that has largely never been released in English. The TCG, which is what the show is made to advertise, isn't being released in English either.

Of course i know what breaks are meant for but here i wanted to say that when you watch an episode which is completely made up of flashbacks and you have to sit through a break after only 4-6 minutes it will get boring real soon.

No, most of the viewers thought that the special was just a filler episode. OP ratings always have a big drop on filler arcs, that's why Toei doesn't want fillers.

EDIT:
Fans think the cause of the big drop was Toei's super sentai series, they changed Kamen Rider's TV slot on TV Asahi, with the same timeslot OP x DBS were airing.
