Azumanga Daioh! Class Album
& Voices Of A Distant Star I totally spaced out when I picked up Voices, cause I remembered about the Shinkai Collection that was just a few dollars more and had The Place Promised in Our Early Days, and the Voices Of A Distant Star soundtrack. I'm really kicking myself in the rear for that one.

I just bought all of Hajime no Ippo from TRSI, a show I adore but didn't really want to buy at first since it's so long. The bargain bin prices and the fact that its OOP convinced me otherwise.
Shortly before that I got the first three volumes of Mushishi. I swore off buying singles except for exceptional cases (high quality show, crazy discounts, etc.) and this definitely qualifies. |

Well now that I finally have cash again I was able to buy myself such stuff. What a wonderful feeling to buy something and not have it be more credit debt lol. So after my nice ATM cash deposit I used the remainder of my cash from the past 2 weeks to buy me one dvd, some comics I had in my box at my comic store, and a nice load of manga. I got 5 of the manga at Borders cause they had a buy 4 get 1 free deal plus I had a rewards day coming to me so I got 30% off my purchase too. Got 5 manga for the price of 3 basically. The rest I got at my comic shop with the comics I got. The stash came up to;

Yay, my Here Is Greenwood manga showed up today. Okay, it was just 4-6, 8-9 (I already have 1-3), so I still have to find volume 7. However, I'm pleased to have the majority of the series as it seems to be getting hard to find. Just did a search for volume 7 at RACS, DeepDiscount, Animenation, Justmanga, eBay, and half.com and came up empty.
 I will find it though! This is too fun of a series not to have in its entirety.
As for new orders, on Sunday I took advantage of the Viz sale at TRSI to get the second season of Ranma 1/2, and picking volumes 6-10 of Angel Sanctuary. I wanted to get more at the sale (I'm behind on my NANA issues because I didn't realize just how quickly they'd start coming out after their exit from Shojo Beat), but I'm trying to be a bit stricter about sticking to my monthly anime/manga budget. It's not a necessity by any stretch, but I'd still like to do better about it anyway. Edit: Found a copy of Here Is Greenwood volume 7 in the Amazon Marketplace for $10 (including shipping), so I'll give it a go. I really want to get this series completed. Dragon Knights Vols. 19-24. This was prompted by the fact that 26 will be the final volume. Yay! The poor story has been in serialization for 17 years. Which kinda puts me in awe of any Japanese reader that followed it. Magic Knight Rayearth II Vols. 1-3. I bought the omnibus edition of Rayearth I and I liked it enough that I want to find out what happens. I was going to wait and see if they realeased an omnibus for II, but I'm impatient and needed something to round out the order. I spent $36. I saved $51. Bookcloseouts.com rocks and I love them dearly. :) |

Arrived today: R2 DVD CLANNAD volume 2 LE. Comes with a deck of cards (trump cards - the design on the back of the cards matches that on the cards Ryou-chan is holding in the OP) and a book with the "konte" drawings for episode 1 and the OP/ED sequences. There are three episodes on the DVD.

Got my replacement in for Mush-Shi Vol.5 from TRSI today.
Also got a GitS keychain from circleanime. The only reason I got the keychain is they said they had a brand new OOP rare manga I have been looking for IN STOCK! I had to put my order over $10 for them to ship, so I added a keychain on the order. I even included instructions that if for any reason they end up not having the manga to go ahead and cancel the order. Well I got the damn keychain, but no manga. Bastards! |
