I'm surprised Nakazawa is ok with uploading a scene from Gen on Youtube. The story must really mean something to him....That was sad, and I'm glad at least he agrees that the people who keep re-writing history are screwing it up for the country again.

Anyway, I knew Takemiya was an Ishinomori fan. Her style's clearly inspired by Cyborg 009! I'm also kind of surprised they didn't ask her her opinion of the first anime adaptation of To Terra.

The Nakazawa Keiji interview and the accompanying link to the YouTube video of the bombing scene in Barefoot Gen was pretty riveting. I might just look into the subject more. I was stunned that there was such discrimination against the survivors of the bombing. It really makes me wish that the U.S. never has to use another nuclear weapon again - not that I never wished that before, but this really got to me.
