If this was the only news coming out, I wouldn't look too much into it. But just last Saturday, a new Gurren Lagann radio show was started, months after the anime and the previous internet radio show ended, and had Kakihara Tetsuya and Inoue Marina wondering if there will be any further developments.
....A Gurren Lagann spin-off? A movie maybe?? |

Hell yeah! A new project!
As much as I loved Gurren Lagann I would be much happier about something new instead of some kind of spin off.
Considering they are doing the recruiting now could mean that the new show will be a fall release. |

I'm hoping they don't do a direct sequel to gurren-lagann, there weren't that many sequel hooks and it would feel kinda tacked on to me, a spin off or prequel of some sort could be cool though.
If it's a series I could see it coming this spring |

I'd really like another stand alone film from Gainax considering the few people in anime who do anime movies. As long as this doesn't turn into another elaborate scam  |
