| Piano no Mori should have won. Easily the best animated film since spirited away in my book. | |||

| am i the only one that finds Tekkonkinkreet extremely overrated? i mean i admit it was nice to look at, but the plot was just all over the place and made no sense. it's like they couldn't decide what kind of movie they were trying to make. also the ending was really anticlimactic. | |||

Nope, although opinion is pretty divided about it, plenty found it to be pretty weak and it was also heavily criticized on ANN's own review. |

| I think Tekkonkinkreet deserves every award it gets! The dub was fantastic, the animation was superb, the characters were great, the imagination of it all was amazing - it was just great! Definitely one of my all-time favourites and well-deserving of every award it gets! | |||

Huh, and Suzuki (the old Yakuza dude) is known as "The Rat" in Tekkon. Coincidence...? |
