Yes, indeed, a memorable loss.

*has moment of silence & reflection*

-O.k., 1 main gun firing 7 times in honor, quite befitting such an honor!
But there's 15 cannons on their 5 main guns (1 smaller one being an anti-aircraft-type on the historical ship), if Yamato had 2 more -like the Arcadia, it would only have to fire all at once -just ONE TIME, lol!)

Hirokawa now eternally joins the "Sea of Stars", his unforgettable voice resounding into deep space...

More recently he co-starred in Mezzo Forte and Mezzo DSA as Kenichi Kurokawa.

To be more accurate, he was only the Yamato narrator for the second movie and the aborted Yamato 2520. Although he indeed was the only seiyu to play Susumu's ill-fated older brother Mamoru.
