| Yay, what a surprise I can't watch it cause I'm not in the US or Canada. And yet I'm in the same DVD region as Japan. That's really logical there. |

Episode 1 is available for free from bandaiv visual's japanese dot-anime site in region 2.
without subs, of course  . |

What about Europe? We're always left out of everything.
Seriously, there's absolutely no chance this kind of thing will happen in the UK. Ever.
So these kind of things are going to become more and more frequent, but only where the power of change is happening, i.e. America.
It's not even like it's the whole of Europe even. France has a massive industry, and likewise for a lot of other countries. The UK is just trailing in the dust as usual... |

Has a company in France or the UK licensed Haruka?

| I'll see your platform/DRM restrictions and raise you a "I'm not buying a show I've only seen one episode of and doubly so at BVUSA's insane prices." If they want us to pay equal prices as the Japanese then we should have equal opportunity to see the shows beforehand, or at least for TV series that run more than a few episodes. |

Just finished the stream on the first episode, it was ok, though it reminded me a lot of Himiko.
This is where Netflix comes in handy for the Bandai Visual USA titles.
If after watching it, and figuring out if its something I have to have (like the Gunbusters). I can then shell out the inflated price. |

| I think this is a positive thing and more people should be happy about this. I mean they're willing to stream an episode for free to try to be more progressive with the current state of anime. It may only be one episode but it's still generous of BV to do this. Perhaps I'm just clinging to false hopes that this might mean more in regards to them trying to accommodate fans more given the state of things in the industry. Regardless I'll enjoy my free episode and be happy for it. |

Nope, and the chances of it ever being released here (or at least the next several years) are little to none.
(Don't know about France). |

Sure has, at least in France, Anima has the license for the series. They already released the first volume which contains 13 episodes for approximately 80$ (American and Canadian dollars, not Euro, I did the math). With two box set the series retails for 260$ which as pricey as the Bandai Visual USA version (9 DVD for 29.99$ each, right?), the difference is that's the collector edition that comes in a wooden set with a dub and a 24 pages booklet. Though I have to say that I never saw a not-collector edition of the series on any French website. |

As I've said before: the only good news that could possibly come out of BVUSA at this point is that they're closing shop.
I strongly encourage BVUSA to fold. Lay down your cards, back away from the table. Maybe get some nachos. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. |

It's pretty much like Fushigi Yuugi, with a few minor differences. I still enjoyed it, however.
Um, has it been licensed?! The "streaming" link says that a Region 1 DVD is coming out late April? I'm confused (but entirely happy if it's true!) |
