It had anime written all over it from the beginning.
I'm kind of curious to look into NisiOisin's other books. I wasn't terribly fond of the Death Note novel, so I wonder if I'd like any of his other stuff. |

It's also a pretty inaccurate summary. He catches her when she falls down the stairs, and discovers she has no weight. So she sticks a stapler in his mouth.
Personally, I tend to like his books in spite of the mystery stuff - I don't actually like mysteries, so the ones with more mystery elements tend to rate a little lower. I think his style is fantastic, and that tends to make me overlook a few tedious deductive passages.
Bakemonogatari has no mystery elements at all, and is one of my favorite books of his because of it.[/spoiler] |

Let me guess, this is going to be a haream series? No offensive, but hasn't the whole "an angel falling from the sky" been done far too many times now? |

Andrew Cunningham just pointed out that the summary was a bit off on 'girl falling from sky'. The story sounds like it could easily fall into been-there-done-that territory, but hopefully it can rise above it. |

It's definitely one of those books that looks like nothing done as a library of congress summary, since 90% of it is the characters having incredibly long and very funny conversations. |
