| So wait, let me see if I've got this straight- we have a video game, which is popular enough to produce manga spin-off, which leads to an anime based on the story of the game, not the manga, and then the same anime produces a second season, which gets adapted into a manga, which... what? |

I think this has more to do with strengthening the brand before the DS game comes out (hence, V Jump) than anything else. |

| don't forget to through the spin offs like Ral Grad into that, which I think is a pretty cool. really tempted to get the game myself if my xbox wasn't broken right now. |

And that's the problem with Blue Dragon for me. The massive marketing going into it, with all the releases and tie-ins...It just feels too manufactured...
Too focus group-y or something...Well, maybe not that, but it definitely feels "manufactured", like they're trying to *force* the "franchise" to be successful. |
