Several of the Digimon movies use a similar art style and have the same director as the Louis Vuitton commercial, any one know if Takashi Murakami has any relation to those?

He's a leading Superflat artist (similar to Pop Art in the west) so I think this recognition is appropriate.

The style for that short was derived from the movies and not the other way around, so there is no further relation between Murakami and Digimon.

I'd pay a lot of money to get a full-sized print of the art used on the news report. It's beautiful!

I wonder where I can actually buy proper artworks in the superflat style... hmm...

Better than the reader-submitted list. ^^;; That list is just 100% pure nonsense.

I mean, regardless of if you know who Murakami is, he's 2000x more influential than that cursed Rain.

Murakami's art style has done a lot for Japanese pop art, I think. His Superflat movement also inspired a lot of other artists, and I think he definitely deserves to be in the Top 100.

I highly doubt that. After listening to his speech for almost three hours, I'd like to summarize his concepts with one sentence:

"A piece of art doesn't worth a penny if it doesn't worth a penny."

Former part, figuratively; latter part, literally.
