As far as I know, most of them do. Last time as was there they were having a buy 1 get 1 sale for Geneon and FUNimation. I doubt that sale is still going on, but it seems like they have those kind of sales pretty often.

Yes, F.Y.E. sells anime. They have a pretty good selection actually. My problem with them is that they're more expensive than, say, Best Buy, or online stores that you might find. I generally never buy from them. Why buy an Inuyasha movie over there for over $25 when I can get one from Best Buy or Wal-Mart for under $20?

Anyone's mileage may vary on this one. Back before I discovered the joys of online ordering, and Best Buy hadn't really jumped into the fray yet, I usually went with Suncoast, since the FYE's around me were usually poorly stocked outside of newer stuff. If you wanted older stuff... let's just say that it was necessary that the browser preferred VHS over DVD. I pop in occasionally today, and sad to say, not much has changed.

I'm not allowed to purchase stuff online (yet) and the Best Buy selection around here is rancid, so I rely entirely on FYE. What's more, they have sales on anime 24-7 around here, an entire shelf and a half devoted to it, wallscrolls, candy, plushies, and with a discount card the world is your oyster. I've never bought anything for over 20$ there, except for Miyazaki films, which I've never been able to find cheap in town.

The entire Berserk series cost me 9$ a disc.

Gankutsuou cost me 15$ a disc.

Beck cost me 10$ a disc.

I suppose it depends on where you live. I love that place. I clean them out. Laughing

FYE does have a pretty good selection of anime, but the price is another story, though they do have good deals every once in awhile, such as i managed to fine Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya vol. 1 for $10 there new and pretty soon after the release as well I probably just lucked out though, as thats the best price I've found there, the second being buy one get one free on anime deals that they seem to do pretty often.

Oh, and for the record, if you happen to see any places called "CD Warehouse," I'd recommend checking it out to see if they stock any anime. I've been to a few and one of them stocks a small shelf of anime. The selection is not big and is almost entirely used dvds in good condition, but they have what they get in and I usually find a good dvd every few weeks or so. The best part though is the price. Dvds usually cost between $7-15 and I haven't seen any single anime dvd priced higher. As a fair warning though, CD Warehouse does buy used dvds, and doesn't seem to recognize bootlegs from other dvds. I've been going there for 4 years and I have seen 2 bootleg box sets on the self before. So while an extremely rare occurrence, make sure you know how to spot a bootleg if you go there, just in case.

The local FYE's sometimes have anime, but I generally don't buy Anime though them, I usually just buy my anime either at TRSI, Amazon.com, or Deepdiscountdvd.com mainly because FYE doesn't usually what I want to buy.

I seem to be one of the few that actually tells people to check out FYE for anime and most of the time I get negative responces from users saying stuff like; "that's too expensive don't go there go to Best Buy instead".

But what people don't realize is that unlike Best Buy, FYE carries older series'/volumes as well and carry used DVD's which opens up their selection and makes checking multiple FYE's a good idea.

I went to a Best Buy about 4 hours away once, I was on the way home from a camping trip and stopped to eat and i went in there to pick up a CD and looked around, and that Best Buy store had a selection of "Used" items. I've been waiting to see if maybe it was like a trial period of sorts but my local BB does not carry used products.

Yeah alot of fye items sell for retail, but atleast they have it and seems like everytime I go there is some kind of sale going on.

My local Suncoast shut down and all the anime products went from suncoast to fye along with some employees.

I work at an FYE in Louisiana, and we have an corner of the store dedicated to anime merchandise (DVDs [both used and new], wall scrolls, posters, manga, keychains, toys, cosplay stuff, et cetera). We also hold anime events every other month. They're sort of like mini-anime conventions. We play anime, have a huge anime blowout sale, have games and art contests and costume contests and all kinds of stuff.

My store has well over 3000 individual anime DVDs of various titles on our wall. We more often than not have sales running. And, the more anime customers we get, the better the sales seem to get.

EDIT: Also, we have the Backstage Pass card, which is our discount card. It saves you 10% on all your purchases (excluding iPods), 20% on your birthday, and they're supposed to send you coupons and stuff (though I'm not sure if they do), for a $25 annual fee. It really cuts down on the price you pay in store.

EDIT EDIT: Haha. I clearly enjoy my job, since I advertise on message boards.

This is why I like FYE. I was able to find Record of Lodoss War at the FYE near me brand new. I highly doubt I would have found that at Best Buy. They also had all three volumes of Paradise Kiss but, unfortunately, I didn't have the money for those.
