Well, at least we know the voice talent behind this movie is pretty good.

That may be it's only saving factor.

Your probably right, but having Nicolas Cage in the cast is pretty impressive. Though I am sure this movie can't be any worse than Speed Racer, but then again, anything is possible.

First Dragon Ball, now Astro Boy, hopefully this means Anime is becoming more accepted in the US.

IMAGI Studios animated the latest TMNT movie, so that's how I expect the new Astro Boy to look like.

Those are some pretty big names we're seeing right here. Here's to hoping for some good results.

Well the TMNT movie was pretty good. I won't be looking forward to this as much as TMNT since it's not a childhood series of mine, but I'm interested.

I am not into the idea of anime or manga being made into Hollywood movies but a CG with decent story/events without much Westernization could pull through. I hope that the Japanese dub will have the seiyuu (VAs) from the anime as that would increase my chances of watching it.

God, I love that.

OH GOD THE BEES

THE BEEEEES

Seriously though he'll be fine and this will probably be pretty good. I liked that Imagi Ninja Turtles movie; it was very Saturday morning with a little edge to it that made it fun to watch. Nothing special, but I'm not expecting them to make some kind of masterpiece, I'd like a fun and exciting Astroboy cartoon.

I gotta agree with how TMNT was actually pretty good. Not exactly groundbreaking, but it definitely had the spirit of the originals that alot of us grew up with, but had an edge, so with IMAGI being at the helm, it'll be interesting to see how it turns out to at least have the classic feel.

Is Freddie Highmore capable of talking in an American accent? Of the movies I've seen him in, he isn't and having a British Astro while having American sounding other major cast members is going to sound...awkward to me because this isn't "A Fish Called Wanda".

Either way, I hope this movie doesn't suck, because I love Astro Boy and I don't want the story in this movie to disapoint me (although at this point, I nearly anticipate it).

Honestly, considering how Speed Racer turned out, I am not sure Astro Boy will be any better.

Since I was really never into Astro Boy, I'll probably never see this movie, but I can only hope this movie won't be as bad as Speed Racer was.

Here's to hoping this movie won't be horriable.

Fix'd.

Wasn't Astro Boy already considerably Westernized? Or do you mean "without calling for much change" from its present form?
