| Wow. Been there. Horrible experience. I've also been a large part of the "you are a idiot for liking it then, but we rock for liking it now" demographic. DBZ, Transformers, and many others. It seems silly to mock someone for stuff like that. |

Yup, that pretty much sums up my experiences completely.
And then people always wonder why I keep to myself... ::shrug:: oh well.
This one's another winner. I really love these! |

I never get that... I have a couple theories:
1. I'm disabled and I have to use clutches to walk, so no one wants to say things that will make them seem like a complete and utter a-hole.
2. I live in San Francisco which has a high population of anime fans... so yeah...
Either way, never happens to me... |

Now this is a comic I can relate to. One would think anime fans wouldn't receive this much stigma.
Fantastic comic Robin, another great, if not excellent comic. Thank you for your hard work, you are such a talented person. |

How to respond to those questions:
"Aren't you a little old to be watching cartoons"
"Aren't you a little TOO old to be this stupid?"
"OMG you BUY that crap-etc"
You punch him in the face. Make sure no one is looking. >:D
"Goodness! You actually watch those violent porn cartoons!"
"You don't? Man what a freak!"
"Lawl big eyed, (whatever he said)"
Yeah there IS no response to this. You just run. FAST.
Thankfully growing up I had friends and that went with me when I purchased anime tapes, so didn't get much of that. Though I've gotten a lot of "Aren't you to old for (insert something here)?"
I never get what some people consider 'growing old' means. What is it that 'old people' like? Am I suppose to start building cars or bikes? Or am I suppose to suddenly start get drunk and watch lots of porn? Really the people of this world.
Unfortantly this kinda attitude even exists in the anime community. I can't tell you HOW many times I've been talked to like I'm five years old because I like Dubbed anime.
I wish I didn't have to say it, but I really dislike puritsts.
