Wow, that's gotta be the lowest Naruto debut on this list ever....... unless there's a reason for that I don't know about? |

| Naruto will pick up the pace, I have no doubt about that. Glad to see Sgt Frog at it again. |

Ah, okay. I was thinking it might be something like that. #9 though I'd say is pretty darn good for only 1 day of sales. |

Wow! For once Naruto's not on top. Guess it's really becoming draggy as others say. |

| Pluto's an awesome and surprising take on the Tetsuwan Atom (Astro Boy) universe. I find it more enjoyable than Monster, but I think that's more likely due to the sci-fi elements. |

Did you read what was said above? | No, but I just did right now. God...Naruto is so popular these days. I'm gonna be honest and say that I'm not particularly a Naruto fan, yet the merchandise...man...I actually have four action figures from this series [Temari, Gaara, Naruto and the 4th Hokage]. Half my friends are Narutards. [I like Bleach better. So does that make me a Bleachtard? ] |

| Is it just me or is the price of manga books in Japan going up? |

Depends on the publisher and the type of layout for the manga volume itself. Usually shonen titles will be released for 410 yen, which actually includes tax. Normal pricing for a book that comes out of magazines like the Young Magazine/Young Jump types would be around 550 yen, and you can probably guess the rest. Saiyuki is more expensive because of the size of the printout. |

Man, I wish manga was that much in America, but I guess it kind of works the same way here, except it differs by publisher. |

Well, when you look at what goes into actually releasing the volume over here, then it's somewhat understandable why they release them for so much. You have to translate the material, get empty bubble versions of the material and print on them. On top of that, English version manga doesn't even get the plastic covers that you see on the Japanese releases of manga. |
