| Don't really see why he'd add anything new to their value, unless people somehow consider him a trustworthy spokesperson. |

Well, aside from his stated fandom, he is from the more fiscally conservative party. They're more for promoting business and less government restrictions. At least from what I understand. (To be honest, I'm a bit more economically right of center there myself.) Plus he seems to be a more nationalistic leader and manga and anime seems to be something he wants to promote as a Japanese product or resource. He even wants to promote exporting it across the world. (Pretty sure I'm not too keen on his strong stance there, as much as I enjoy reading manga.)
Plus, this is all speculation. Ah. The messed up world of market speculation. The value of these companies don't have to actually go up in the future. Just like oil prices can go up even if actual events say they could go down. Even news of the track of a hurrican can send prices out of whack. It all depends on what is speculated by a bunch of 'experts'. Amazing the things you learn when you come home and your dad watches waaaay too much CNBC.
Hey, Jim Cramer. What do you think of anime?
Anime. It's the next Bear Stearns. Just buy buy buy! Wait.. |

| Well, he does like to involve himself somewhat in the manga and anime community. I find it funny though how the stocks are going up on word of what's going on politically. Companies may say that they're having good sales and all, but it's definetly more than that it seems. |

We'll know if Asō's fandom is really having an impact on the financial world when businessmen have Lucky Star pendants hanging from their portable telephones.
Not unlike a web cartoon I saw once. |
