I'm feeling a bit torn about this:
On the possitive side, I really liked the movie (and it's slashable characters~), but then again, I've read the Crows Zero manga as well as Worst and I really, really didn't like them. Mainly for the art style. I'll still check 'em out though xD. |

To me, he was the more interesting character because, unlike Genji, he didn't seem like he was trying to prove anything. Anyway, I'm not really sure what that movie was trying to say ("The Hero is in you"... and he wants you to beat your classmates senseless, apparently). I would've fast-forwarded through much of the fight scenes but that would've left about a 30-minute movie. I mainly watched it not the the action but for the actors (though it was sorta disconcerting to see Yamada Takayuki as a tough-guy after mainly having seen him play more amicable characters in Waterboys and Densha Otoko; I kept thinking, shouldn't you be in a pool somewhere?); as such, I'm not sure the manga would interest me too much either. But a second movie is good news. |
