Just to note, the cover for the US version of King of Fighters: Orochi Saga has since been changed. It's stylish as hell.

Also, for anyone considering their platform options, there will also be a Wii version in late November for $29.99. You know, if you bought that Wii arcade stick for Guilty Gear and need something else to do with it.

Lol, how dare you pick on Toshinden?! That game was great when it came out. It was one of the first 3D fighters, and one of the relatively few to this day that involved both full 3D movement AND energetic special attacks (like fireballs and stuff). For years after that game came out the only 3D fighters you could get were boring technical fighters like Virtua Fighter and Tekken.

I wouldn't say that the Toshinden brand is itself a huge draw, particularly without any of the original characters, but the original game was great.

You forgot to mention with the character news for Street Fighter 4 that schoolgirl Sakura, SF4 boss Seth, and Ken and Ryu's master Gouken will also be playable characters in the console versions of the games. I heard this news confirmed on G4's X-Play block a couple weeks ago.

I thought Toshiden lost its rank after Tekken came along, but both had equally horrible anime spin-offs. [Though the live-action Tekken not featuring Sammo Hung seems to have a better cast than the Chun Li movie.]

the ones you see are all ones coming out next week so in other words last week's X Button mentioned Castlevania but yup it just came out yesterday

Wasn't that in last week's article?
Sakura was last week, Gouken was in the first article for October. Not sure about Seth.

I'm really geting pumped for KOF being released. KOF is one of my favorite fighting games and getting to play some of the games I haven't played yet will be refreshing to me.

Guess I haven't paid much attention to the X Button as I thought. Laughing

But yes, Seth has been confirmed by Capcom to be a playable character for the console versions of the game. The best proof I can give, though I can't read Japanese kana, is this link I have to the
SF4 Japanese web site.

interesting that someone is brought back the toshinden series, 1 & 2 were great and 3 was horrible.


also Cyberbots rules, i love that game to death.


also if someone can bring back toshinden can someone bring back Bushido Blade like how they use to be?

I'd never played cyberbots before so cheers for the link. Although I have played the side scrolling sequel Armored Warriors. Thats another great capcom beat em up that we'll probably never see the like of again.
