Dubbed, no less. I just hope they have it online too, as I don't get iATV...

Bandai Entertainment has licensed 2009's anime Kurokami - The Animation. Will Kurokami - The Animation going to air on Adult Swim someday in 2012?

Their press release says "Following its U.S. broadcast it will be released on DVD in 2009 by Bandai Entertainment Inc." Of course "in 2009" is rather broad, but I'd expect a DVD release in maybe summer 2009?

No word yet on whether there will be any online distribution for those of us without iATV. So far it doesn't look like it.

The television Anime series will debut simultaneously in Japan, South Korea, and the United States within 24 hours of each other January 8, 2009. In the United States, it will premiere on IATV.-Article

There is your answer.

I am not interested in Kurokami. It's good for those that are interested.

Man, I'm awfully lucky when it comes to simultaneous release anime. Every season I go in thinking "There's only one show I want to watch this season..." and it always ends up being simultaneously broadcasted. First Strike Witches, now Black God.

I hope they get a legal internet distributor, like CrunchyRoll or Hulu or something. I don't care if you have ti pay for it...it's just that I don't have a TV at college.

This is insane. Has this ever been done before, a near simultaneous airing, with dubs no less? If this is a new market strategy then this should be very interesting. I hope Bandai does this in the future with quick DVD releases. Wow.

Bandai is announcing it as a first time ever thing, but they outdid themselves a half decade ago on this front.

SD Gundam Force Season 1 before the Japanese got it.

SD Gundam Force aired in the US before it aired in Japan...

That's too bad. Guess I'll have to wait until the DVDs come out. It sounds interesting based on the description of the series so for now I'll put it on my 'Want to See" list.

Well so did Xam'd too I guess. But with dubbing? Even still this is pretty amazing. I'm curious as to why this show. Although I'm sure I can expect something similar for FMA when it comes out too.
