Volume 4 is listed on Amazon so maybe that counts for something

That doesn't necessarily mean anything though. Various stores had Scrapped Princess #4 as well, but it never came.

Oh well I already own volume 1 and I ordered volume 2 and 3 so I've done my part to help insure that this series keeps getting published

I'm rooting for the book of short stories as well. I don't know what will become of the series but I hope it keeps going. I would really like to know where it all ends up.

the part that I hate most is that it's not monthly and it can take 1-3 months between each release

Given that pretty much all of TP's other novels have been canceled, I don't think you'll have to worry about those three month waits. I think you will be waiting forever.

I've watched all of the series, Full metal Pani!, Full Metal Panic:fumoffu, and of course Full Metal Panic: TSR (the second raid)
i really really loved them but the endings left me pretty empty. i still cant believe they didn't kiss even in the end! it was awful, and all series ended closely the same but i heard they are making a new series for Full metal panic! and i didn't know they had books, i`ll have to check those out

I have and I've read Volumes 1 - 3 of this series. Anyway I'll be super pissed if they don't finish it. Anyway it is listed on Amazon and at Chapters, so we'll see hopefully volume (part 1) gets a release. IDK, why they would discontinue all the light novels.
Are the light novels not selling well in North America?
So far the novels have been really similar to the anime (with some minor differences). Actually I guess it would be the other way around since the novels are the source material. Anyway I've throughly enjoyed the novels so far. Definately one of my favorite anime series, and the light novels add to the greatness of the series. (Crosses finger for volume 4 release)

Seven Seas is apparently getting hammered with returns on all of theirs. I don't know what Tokyopop's sales were like. I would guess that FMP wasn't doing too well either and that Tokyopop was having bigger issues didn't help the situation.

damn. I was really looking forward to the next volume and finding out what happens post- TSR. Oh well.
Maybe they'll make a season 4 of the anime? LOL

Well I'm pretty sure everyone else has come to this conclusion as well, but it seems highly likely that the 4th (and any subsequent novels) will not be released in english. (or at the very least not any time soon)

I agree the 4th volume probably won't come. Hoping for it will only disappoint you later. In the off chance that they do, it would be a big surprise like when they randomly decided to announce more content for Code Geass. I still can't believe that! It ran its course. It's over. Hmmm, but they announce more? Boggles the mind!
