Finally. I was worried. With the anime over, and the manga on hiatus, it seemed like the fandom could only die.

Fandom had this news out a week ago. A bit slow on the uptake, ANN :(

That said, I'm so glad D.Gray-man is going to be running again! The series has had such a tough time keeping afloat -- I'm continually worried they're just going to up and cancel it...

Maybe the "fandom" did, but "fandom" does not equal fact. They waited until it was officially announced in the magazine, as per the article. Geez, complain about stuff you already knew? [/logic]

It's been all over various manga sites for a week. Based on -- get this. The magazine.

Actually, what was on the Internet a week ago was based on an anonymous verbal report of the magazine, not from the magazine itself directly. Anonymous verbal reports can be wrong or misleading--one of the better known English versions of that report got the name wrong for a new title's author, and it also didn't get the name for the other new series. Actual (blurry) visual evidence didn't go online until Friday Japan time, and it didn't mention all the news that was in the issue. It was only when the actual issue came out a few hours ago that all the news in it was made public.

Because Jump would totally want to axe one of its biggest franchises.
Latest volumes of the manga are usually in the top 3 of manga releases for the week, much like its other juggernaut brethren One Piece/Bleach/Naruto.
Even though the anime ended, anime-related merchandise is still being pumped out...I see it all the time on the animate 'goods' section of the site. More than Naruto goods, as a matter of fact. I'm not sure how this translates as 'a tough time keeping afloat', but anyway...

Well, good for her. I'm glad that she was able to improve her health, and hopefully we'll be seeing some good action in the manga from here on out.

I wonder if the anime is completely over, or if they'll make some OAV like they did for Hunter x Hunter...
