I can understand them wanting to keep young children from being exploited but seriously, why cartoon characters?

Talk about blatant bluenose censorship here.

There is NO place for censorship in any society that wishes to call itself free! Also, they're CARTOON CHARACTERS! No real people are being harmed!

Why the hell do people have to go and try to censor everything? Nobody ever has the right to not be offended!

Apparently they haven't thought far enough to consider how difficult it'll be to discern between what makes it 'child porn' characters or just young looking lolita characters. Imagine it now,

Hey this one looks a little young, ban~
WHAT? this character is based off a real 28 year old person?

Fail.

From an art stand point I'm furious about this and only from an artist stand point.
Thank goodness the US has a constitution for this type of stuff even if it doesn't work all the time.

I hear Alan Moore's Lost Girls is basically a hentai/loli take on classic fantasy stuff like Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland.

No, even here in the US we have to deal with these kinds of things.

This is just getting ridiculous now. I wonder what the Nanny State countries will do next, perhaps getting tougher on video games and music again as well? Maybe banning more books is a good idea too, eh?

Funny that you should be sporting a V for Vendetta display picture right now. I'm truly convinced that's exactly the state the UK is headed towards now, and this article is a perfect example. I always tell people that movie is more like a documentary: Britain in the Not-Too-Distant Future. Minus the guy in the mask... although we could really do with someone like him right now.

Farenheit 451?

I dunno... It's also presumably headed in a "Brave New World" direction as well. What with the internet and everyone being monitored...

Just be thankful we'll all hopefully be dead before then.
