It's so much fun! It's got crazy musical numbers, a few fanservicey moments (okay, maybe a lot Very Happy ), some really impressive (to me, at least) visuals, amazing cakes everywhere, and, well, I just thought it was a really, really well-done adaptation of the main stories from the manga. Left me grinning like an idiot and ready to watch it again. I can't wait for the DVD to be released here in the U.S.

Not to mention, it's like 100x times better than the Japanese drama-- unlike that, the film kept the (major) plot point of Tachibana & Ono's (Jin-hyuk & Sun-woo in this version) shared past, which the drama completely dropped. The J-drama also made Ono not gay, which obviously totally altered the original story. Makes you wonder why they even wanted to adapt it in the first place.

A film based on Vertical`s Lala Pipo by Hideo Okuda will also be making its North American Premiere at the NYAFF. (The move recently screened out of competition at the Cannes Film Fest and is now licensed for distribution in the UK and Europe by Third Window Films).

And we will be a sponsor of the show co-presenting a handful of films.
