Space Station No. 9 is a sequel to Portable Kuukou.

There is another music clip done by Studio Kajino called 空飛ぶ都市計画 which I couldn't find in the encyclopedia but is a sequel to Space Station No. 9. The three are available on the ジブリがいっぱいSPECIALショートショート. I took pictures of the technical data available in the booklet that came with the DVD so you guys can input the data to the website. The link for the Space Station No. 9 gif is here. 空飛ぶ都市計画 is here.

EDIT: Hope this is a reliable source.

I just finished watching Mermaid's Forest the TV series and realized that it is not only a prequel but that it is a remake of the other Mermaid OAVs. Episodes 4&5 actually retell Mermaid Forest the OAV, while episodes 12&13 retell Mermaid's Scar the OAV. So the Mermaid Forest TV series should be listed as an alternate retelling of both OAVs, similar to Escaflowne the movieis a retelling of Escaflowne the TV series.

The ストロベリーショートケイクス movie is apparently based on the Strawberry Shortcakes manga. I was reading about Japanese cinema on the net and accidentally found out that it was based on a comic.

IMDb and Japanese Wiki links.

Shouldn't the Green Green television series be related to the OAV, rather than the reverse, since the OAV preceded the TV series?

Edit: Getchu.com series link for proof.

Desert Island Story X is related to Desert Island Story XX (though I don't believe they are direct sequels).

The Getchu.com series link for proof.

Posting again here, as suggested by Rti9:
The SaiKano OVA is listed in the Encyclopedia as a prequel of SaiKano, but it isn't really. It begins earlier, chronologically, and shows some events that happen before SaiKano, but mostly covers the same timeline, just from a different perspective. The synopsis more or less says as much, but I think labeling it a prequel might be misleading. Is there another relation type available that would fit better?

After reading this thread, I think the "side story" relationship would work best here.

Thanks for your attention, encyclopedia staff Smile

I'd like to have a "remake" link between Hanaukyo Maid Team: La Verite (TV) (2004) and Hanaukyo Maid-tai (TV) (2001). Currently you have to navigate via the Hanaukyo Maid-tai manga to see that there are different anime versions of the same story.

Compare that link structure to the one of the Silent Möbius Manga where you have exactly the same dependencies (two alternative animes based on the same manga, one of these consisting of two parts).

The Nakoruru OAV should be listed as a spinoff of Samurai Shodown: The Motion Picture or Samurai Spirits 2: Asura-Zanmaden. It is a side story about one of the Samurai Shodown characters.

Source: Wikipedia, and also the comments on the ANN Nakoruru OAV page.

Similar to Devil Doll's request, a remake link between Birdy the Mighty Decode (TV) (2008) and Birdy the Mighty (OAV) (1996).

There is no link between Gunsmith Cats (OVA) and Riding Bean (OVA). There should be one, but I'm not sure what it would be called Anime smile + sweatdrop On the Riding Bean (manga) page, it just shows Gunsmith Cats (OVA) as related, with no relationship name. Perhaps this is the way to do it.

Macross 7 Encore and Macross Dynamite 7 should be added to the Macross omnibus. The necessary proof is already linked on the pages for those two OAVs.

Major: Yūjō no Winning Shot is a sequel to the fourth season of the Major TV series. The story tells what happened between the first and second season, but it's the Goro from the end of the fourth season who introduces and concludes the film.
